Where is the camp?
The Climate Camp Leipziger Land is located here this year:
We can pick up people if nessesary. Please decide for yourself if you need a shuttle and travel by bike & public transport if possible. The shuttle is mainly for people for whom the journey is difficult and for BIPOC, or for people who need a safe space or a more barrier-free journey. Unfortunately, since we have limited capacity, a shuttle is not feasible from everywhere and all the time. The closest stations to the site are Böhlen or Belgershain, from there we could easily pick you up. We can not shuttle from Leipzig main station.
Please contact us by phone at least two hours before your arrival. Then we can talk if and how we can arrange a shuttle.
The phone number is: 015210140181
The best way to get here is by bike coming from Leipzig Connewitz along the Markkleeberger See and the Störmthaler See always to the south. Follow the signs to “VINETA”. The northern part of the camp is finally limited by the bicycle path. You will pass it directly.
Alternatively, you can take the S5 either to “Markkleeberg” / “Markkleeberg-Großstädteln” / “Böhlen”, and then head east to Lake Störmthal – or take the RB 113 to “Großpösna” / “Oberholz” / “Belgershain” and then cycle west.
By public transport
The line 106 passes directly the camp during the summer vacations (until 05.09.2021). The stop is called “Störmthaler See (Großpösna), Vineta”. Please have a look at the page of the Verkehrsverbund MDV for your connection, depending on where you want to start from: https://www.mdv.de/fahrtenplaner/
There is no parking directly at the camp (unfortunately), but a little further north on the peninsula.
